This page explains how the AI in Prepvo works, what it can't do, and how we handle your data. It forms part of our Terms.
You are talking to an AI
The interviewer, the writing assistant and the help assistant are AI systems, not humans. They are labelled as AI throughout. No person listens to your interviews live. We don't clone real people's faces or voices.
The video interviewer is an AI-generated character built from stock faces, not a real person or a copy of anyone, and it is labelled as AI on screen.
What the AI does
- Resume and cover letter: reorganises and rewrites your own facts to match a job description and a country's conventions.
- Keyword match: compares your resume with the job and shows matches and gaps.
- Voice interviews: asks questions for the round and level you pick, follows up on your answers and writes a feedback report.
Nothing invented
Resume and cover-letter lines are generated only from facts you provided and checked against them, with a source you can see for each line. If a job needs something you haven't shown, we list it as a gap. Checks can miss things, so please read every line before you use it.
How your voice is processed
After you consent, your speech is converted to text, the AI generates a reply, and that reply is spoken back to you, all in real time. This uses outside AI and speech providers acting as our processors. Your session recording and transcript are saved in your account so you can watch it again and review your feedback, and you can delete it any time. We don't create voiceprints. Video sessions: if you choose video, your camera and microphone are streamed live to a third-party AI video provider acting as our processor, so the AI interviewer can respond in real time. The recording is kept in your account for replay until you delete it. You can turn your camera off and carry on by voice at any time. We don't use your video for face recognition.
Limitations
- AI can misunderstand accents, mishear words or make factual and grammatical mistakes.
- Feedback is a practice aid, not an assessment by an employer, and may be wrong.
- Scores are guides, not predictions of shortlisting or hiring.
- Questions are realistic examples, not the questions any specific company will ask.
- Country formatting follows common conventions; individual employers may prefer something different.
- The AI may reflect biases in its training data. Tell us if you notice unfair or stereotyped output.
No guarantees
We provide the tool; we don't guarantee interviews, offers or any outcome.
Fair and honest use
Use Prepvo to prepare, not to deceive. Don't use it during a live interview or assessment, and don't add qualifications or experience you don't have. See Terms, section 4.
No professional advice
Our AI does not give legal, visa or immigration, medical, mental-health or financial advice. Please consult a qualified professional. If you mention self-harm, the AI will stop the session and show local helpline details.
Training
We don't allow our AI providers to train on your content, and we don't train our own AI on it without your separate opt-in consent.
