Getting started5 questions

What is Prepvo?

Prepvo lets you practise job interviews out loud. A practice interviewer asks you questions, listens to your answers, asks follow-up questions and then gives you a feedback report. It also helps with your resume and cover letter. Prepvo is made by Mithila Labs.

Who is it for?

Adults 18 and over getting ready for job interviews: first jobs, career changes or moves to another country. It works for most jobs, including sales, teaching, retail and office roles.

Is there a free option?

Yes. The demo on this page is free. No account, no card. It's a scripted sample so you can see how a round and its feedback look. The Try Pack is the cheapest way to do a real interview.

What do I need?

A phone or computer with a recent browser, a microphone and a quiet spot. Headphones help. The job post you're applying to is useful too.

Will this get me a job?

We can't promise that, and nobody honestly can. Prepvo helps you practise so you feel more ready. The result is up to you and the employer.

Voice interviews9 questions

Am I talking to a person?

No. The interviewer is software with a voice, and it's always labelled as AI. No one listens in. See About our AI.

What kinds of interview can I practise?

HR, behavioural, technical and a quick 5-minute drill. Each one comes in friendly, standard or tough.

How are the follow-up questions different?

The interviewer listens to your answer and asks about it. If you say "I improved sales", it might ask by how much and what you did. That's how real interviews feel.

Can I pick my job and country?

Yes. Choose the role, paste the job post if you have it, and pick the country you're applying in. Questions and feedback follow that.

Is my voice recorded?

We use your voice live to run the interview. The recording, transcript and feedback stay in your account until you delete them.

What's in the feedback report?

What went well, what to work on and what to try next, answer by answer. For example, tips on using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's practice feedback, not an employer's decision.

Does it understand my accent?

It works with many English accents, but it can mishear words, especially with background noise. You can read the transcript, and the report points out where it may have misheard.

Can I use it during a real interview?

No. Prepvo is for practice only. Using it during a real interview or test is against our Terms.

How long is a session? Can I choose?

Yes, you choose when you build a session: a 5-minute drill, or 10, 15, 20, 30 or 40 minutes. You can also pick a custom length from 5 to 40 minutes in 5-minute steps. Video sessions are up to 20 minutes, which is the monthly video allowance. The minutes come out of your monthly allowance. 40 voice minutes is about two 20-minute sessions or eight 5-minute drills. 20 video minutes is one 20-minute session or four 5-minute drills. You can end a session early, and any minutes you didn't use stay in your allowance. A session longer than the minutes you have left needs a top-up. A Try Pack session is up to 20 minutes. Sessions longer than 45 minutes are not available.

What if I run out of minutes?

Plans include 40 voice minutes a month. They reset each month and don't roll over. You can buy 20 more minutes any time; the price is in the Pricing section.

Video and camera3 questions

Is there a video interviewer?

Yes. You can practise with an AI video interviewer as well as by voice. It is AI with a stock face, and it is labelled as AI. Video minutes come with the Voice + Video plans. To try it once, start with the Voice + Video Try Pack: one 20-minute video interview, one 20-minute voice interview and one tailored resume and cover letter.

Can I watch or listen to a sample?

Yes. The home page has a short podcast, a sample interview and a video walkthrough. They use AI-generated voices and a made-up candidate.

Do you use my camera?

Only in a video session, and only while it runs. Your video is streamed live to our AI video provider so the interviewer can respond, and the session is saved in your account so you can watch it again. You can delete it any time. Voice sessions never turn on your camera, and you can switch the camera off at any time. More in our Privacy Policy.

Prices and Try Pack5 questions

What is the Try Pack?

A one-off purchase: one voice session of up to 20 minutes plus one tailored resume and cover letter. No subscription. If you buy a quarterly or longer plan within 14 days, the Try Pack price comes off that plan.

What happens to minutes I don't use?

Your plan minutes, voice and video, are a monthly allowance. They reset on your monthly renewal date, and on quarterly, half-yearly and annual plans you get a fresh allowance each month. Unused plan minutes don't carry over to the next month. Top-up minutes don't expire while you have an active plan, and we use them after your monthly minutes. The Try Pack session must be used within 30 days of buying.

Which plan should I choose?

If you're interviewing over the next few months, Quarterly is the best balance. Longer plans cost less per month but only make sense if you'll practise that long. Every plan has the same interview minutes and resume help; longer plans add a few extras (see Compare plans).

Which currency will I pay in?

We show prices in your local currency: rupees in India, pounds in the UK, euros in the eurozone, Australian or Canadian dollars there, and US dollars elsewhere. In the UK and EU prices include VAT, and in Australia and India they include GST. In the US and Canada, sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.

Do you have student discounts?

Not right now.

Billing and refunds5 questions

How do refunds work?

If you're not sure yet, start with the Try Pack: it's fully refundable if you haven't used it. Because every interview minute costs us to run, plans are generally non-refundable once you've used them. If something isn't right, email us within 7 days of your first plan purchase; we review every request and may offer a full or partial refund as goodwill. Approved refunds are processed within 7 business days (up to 10 for the money to show, depending on your bank). If we charge you twice or a technical fault on our side stops the service working, you get a full refund. Your statutory rights are not affected. See the Refund and Cancellation page.

How do I cancel?

From your account, in one click. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. No cancellation fees.

Does my plan renew automatically?

Yes, at the same price, until you cancel. We'll tell you before any price change.

How can I pay?

Cards and local options depending on your country, for example UPI in India. We never see your full card number.

Can I change plans?

Yes. If you move to a longer plan, the new plan starts straight away and we credit the unused part of your current plan. If you move to a shorter plan, the change starts when your current period ends. Email us if you need help.

Privacy3 questions

Do you sell my data or use it to train AI?

We don't sell your personal data. We don't let our service providers use your content to train their AI. See our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my data?

Delete single transcripts or resumes, or your whole account, in your settings. Or email [email protected] and we'll do it.

Where is my data kept?

With trusted hosting and service providers, who may be in more than one country. Where the law requires it, we sign contracts with them that protect your data.

Resume and cover letter8 questions

What does "nothing made up" mean?

Every line on your new resume comes from something you told us. If the job asks for something you haven't mentioned, we show it as a gap. We never invent it.

What is hiring software, and will my resume get through?

Many companies use software to sort resumes before a person reads them. Our layouts are easy for it to read. But every company sets it up differently, so no one can promise you'll get through.

What does the match score mean?

It shows how many of the important words and skills in the job post your resume covers. It's a guide for editing, not a prediction.

Can I upload my current resume?

Yes. You can upload PDF, Word (DOCX or DOC), TXT, RTF or ODT, or paste the text. Photos of a resume (JPG or PNG) are coming later. You can download the result as PDF, Word or plain text. Try the resume preview.

Which countries do you format for?

The UK, EU countries, the US, Canada, Australia, India and more, using each country's usual style (for example CV or resume, page size, whether to add a photo).

How does the 7-day pass work?

You pay a small one-off amount and get everything in Resume Monthly for 7 days. On day 8 it continues as Resume Monthly at the normal monthly price, unless you cancel. We email you 2 days before it renews, and you can cancel in one click from your account. Cancel any time before day 7 and you pay nothing more. See Pricing for the prices in your currency.

Can I pay for resume help only?

Yes, if you don't need interview practice. There's a free option for one tailored resume, a 7-day pass, a one-off Resume Pack and a Resume Monthly plan. Interview plans already include resume help. See Pricing and pick "Resume only".

What are the resume extras?

Two small, optional one-time add-ons you can tick in the resume builder, just before you tailor. The Role focus pack matches your resume to the words and skills employers in your field usually look for, in the order recruiters scan, and flags the job post's key skills that are missing from your resume, so you can add them only if they're true. The live market check looks at recent public job ads for your role and country, finds the skills and phrases coming up most often, and gives you a short report. We only use the ones that are true for you. Both are unticked unless you choose them, and the builder shows the price in your currency, with a lower price if you take both. Plans don't include them. There are no secret recruiter keywords, we never add a skill you don't have, and we can't promise more interviews.
